Are Betta Fish Carnivores?

Sponsor:

Betta fish are carnivores! To be more specific, insectivores. They prefer to feed on insect larvae, worms, fish pellet and flakes. Betta fish also feed on the eggs of insects. If you see Bettas feeding off of plant roots, it means they’re incredibly hungry and unable to find the insects they crave for.
